The Mondadori Group enjoys a tradition of over one hundred years as a publisher of books and magazines.
Mondadori is the time-honored leader in the Italian books trade with a 24.8% market share in 2020 and owns some of the major Italian publishing houses such as Mondadori, Einaudi, Piemme, Rizzoli, Sperling & Kupfer, Electa. The Group is also leader in the educational books trade with Mondadori Education and Rizzoli Education with a market share of 22.1% in 2020 and works with Mondadori Electa in publishing art and illustrated books, managing museum concessions, exhibitions and cultural events.
The Group also operates in direct customer sales through its subsidiary Mondadori Retail, which runs the largest network of bookstores in Italy. With three different shop formats – Mondadori Megastore, Mondadori Bookstore and Mondadori Point – and four sales channels (directly managed and franchised book shops, e-commerce and bookclubs), Mondadori Store serves over 20 million customers every year.
Mondadori is the leading Italian magazine publisher, with a market share of 24,2% in circulation in 2020, and it’s also Italy’s leading digital publisher with about 34 million unique users per month and 36,5 million followers on its social networks. Its portfolio contains some of the most known and popular magazines in Italy, including TV Sorrisi e Canzoni, Chi, Grazia, Donna Moderna, Focus, Interni, CasaFacile, GialloZafferano, Mypersonaltrainer, Studenti.
The Mondadori Group reported 2021 consolidated net revenues of € 807,3 million.
