Mediaset

MFE-MEDIAFOREUROPE is the holding company of one of the major pan-European broadcasting hubs. Founded in 2021, its registered office is in Amsterdam (the Netherlands) and is tax resident in Italy and Spain, where it has its operational activities. It is listed on the Milan and Madrid stock exchanges.
Known as Mediaset Group untill November 2021, the Group's core business is generalist commercial TV. In Italy, Mediaset operates three main channels: Canale 5, Italia 1 and Retequattro. In Spain the company controls Telecinco and Cuatro while, in Germany it is the main shareholder of the TV broadcaster ProsiebenSat1.
In 2019 the Mediaset Group generated revenues of €2.637 billion.

Mediaset has six main areas of activity:

FREE-TO-AIR TELEVISION
In Italy, Mediaset operates three commercial television networks: Canale 5, Italia 1 and Retequattro. In Spain, it owns Telecinco and Cuatro through MediasetEspaña.

FREE THEMATIC CHANNELS
Mediaset also broadcasts in Italy 11 FTA thematic channels: Iris, La5, Mediaset Italia2, Mediaset Extra, Top Crime, 20, Cine34, Focus, Boing, Cartoonito and the all-news channel TgCom24; Factoria De Ficcion, Boing, Divinity, Energy e Be Mad in Spain.

PAY THEMATIC CHANNELS
Since 2005 Mediaset is a publisher of cinema and TV series pay thematic channels. Thanks to a long term agreement with SKY italia, those channels are available on satellite pay-TV platform.

OTT MEDIA SERVICE
In 2013 the Mediaset Group launched Infinity: a pay-content service focused on more technologically developed customers, offering them the ability to access a catalogue of titles for streaming that includes thousands of films, TV series, dramas and TV programmes, also available in 4K and HDR quality.
Infinity is available on more than 2,000 different devices including: PC, Mac, Android Tablet, iPad, Smart TV, Smartphone, iPhone, PlayStation, XBOX and Digital Terrestrial set-top boxes.

CONTENT PRODUCTION
Mediaset produces in-house more than 17,000 hours per year of entertainment, drama, news and sports programmes.
Each network has its own news program: TG5, Studio Aperto and TG4. The multichannel TgCom24 all news system provides up-to-date information on TV, radio, Web, smartphones and tablets.

The internal agency NewsMediaset, founded in 2010, produces content for all news and infotainment programs and supplies Tgcom24, thanks to its Dalet production system, which integrates all of the journalistic production into a single digital environment.

The Group is active in the production and the distribution of movies through Medusa Film and the production of television drama series and movies through Taodue.

RADIO
RadioMediaset (Radio 105, Virgin Radio, R101, RMC and Radio Subasio), heads up the radio activities of the Mediaset Group, the first national listening radio Group.

INTERNET
With the MediasetPlay (www.mediasetplay.mediaset.it) platform, Mediaset is Italy's leading online media outlet in terms of videos viewed: over 12million per day.
Mediaset Play allows you to follow the live streaming of the TV channels, even resuming from the beginning the viewing of a program already in progress (Restart function of any live program), and to review on demand much of the television programming free to air. Users can watch entire episodes or choose from hundreds of clips daily extracted from TV shows and contents created specifically for mobile use.
TgCom24 is the leading player in Italy in terms of mobile users and leader among television news apps.
For what concerns the social networks, there are over 41 million Mediaset followers on Facebook, over 8 million Twitter profile followers and more than 12 million Instagram profile followers.

ADVERTISING
The Mediaset Group operates two wholly-owned television advertising sales companies (Publitalia '80 and Digitalia '08) and has a 50% stake with Mondadori in the cross-media advertising sales company Mediamond.
Publitalia '80 is the leader in Europe and sells advertising for both the generalist channels (Canale 5, Rete 4, Italia1) and the free-to-air thematic channels.
Digitalia '08 is entirely dedicated to the pay offer.
Mediamond manages the online activities of both the Group and third parties, as well as the radio stations and the magazines published by Mondadori.

MANAGEMENT AND INFRASTRUCTURE NETWORK
Mediaset holds a 40% stake in the share capital of 2iTowers Holding S.p.A. which holds itself the 100% of Ei Towers, independent Italian leader in Radio, TV and telecommunications infrastructure management.
